ONEIDA VAC FLOOR SANDING DUST CONTAINMENT SYSTEM (DCS)

Douglas Flooring is proud to offer our DUSTLESS sanding and refinishing for your renovation or home improvement project. The Oneida Vac System captures and filters the wood dust produced by floor sanding equipment before it becomes an airborne nuisance and health hazard. This new state-of-the art systems allows us to refinish your floors with virtually no dust, restoring them to their original luster without the time and hassle of a major clean up.

THE ONEIDA VAC SYSTEM DIFFERENCE

The Federal Government has added wood dust to its list of known human carcinogens and surprisingly, old wood varnished can contain as much lead as old paint! If necessary precautions aren't taken and adequate dust collection isn't used, this toxic dust can linger for months on surfaces in your home! Every time this dust gets stirred up, you and your family are re-exposed to these dangers! Unlike bag collectors*, Oneida's patented, new technology can eliminate up to 99% of the airborne dust created from floor sanding operations.

Beginning April 22, 2010, federal law will require contractors that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 to be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. This means any renovation activity - including wood flooring installations, repairs and refinishing - that disturbs six square feet on the inside of a house, school or child-care facility will be subject to the regulations of the EPA program. Douglas Flooring has been an industry leader with regards to EPA regulations and has used a Dust Containment Sanding System since 2007.

We care about protecting your health and property. *When sanding without a DCS, the wood dust particle count is over 20-times the OSHA limit, resulting in an unnecessary threat to your health and an inconvenient mess that requires hours of clean-up.

Douglas Flooring's Oneida Vac sanding system keeps your home and air ducts healthy and free of dust generated by the traditional sanding process.
